I recently was on the hunt for my old friend Armando and sadly I came across his obituary.  I really wish I could have told him Thank you for always being a great friend. When we were in our teens we were ALWAYS on the phone together. Through out our lives we would lose touch then find each other again and it was always like no time had passed. I'll forever hear him in my head "Shut it down!" Rest Easy my Friend. I'll see you again one day. 

The last conversation Armando and I had was about the purpose in life. He asked what I thought the purpose in life was. I told him our purpose in life is never meant to for our own. He said what do you mean? 
 I told him; my purpose in life could be to have this conversation with you to give you some knowledge that you need to serve your purpose and then I could be gone tomorrow because I served my life's purpose. He gave a huge smile likecwe just won the superbowl and said damn Jon ! I like you because you're wise, you're a good guy and you can help me stay sober. He gave me a big hug that almost broke every bone in my 5'8" 120lbs body. I told him if I could stay sober I have no doubt that he could and I would do anything I could to help him. If that's what he wanted to do. But he had to do it because he wants to not because someone else wants him too.  Unfortunately Armando passed away 2 days later! 
I didn't know Armando very long but the little time that I got to know him I am more than grateful for.
 He was a big guy with an even bigger heart that would make an even bigger impact on anyone that had the privilegeto get to know him.
 He wasnt a co-worker to me he was a friend/family to me.
 I'm glad I was able to Express that to him during one of our conversations also. I told him that we can't choose our relatives but we can choose our family and he would always be a part of mine. 
 When I heard he had passed I cried for him like I have for people that I known my whole life and lost.

                             REST IN PARADISE BIG GUY WE LOVE YOU!
