Ardoth Pauline Kessler passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on March 26, 2017. Her faith in Christ was strong, and she left with the assurance the we would all be together again someday.
Ardoth was born September 4, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan. She married Jack Clark and raised three children. Her oldest son, Lugene, made the ultimate sacrifice for his country in Vietnam in 1965.
In 1968 she married Carlton Kessler, and they worked together in the real estate business until they retired to Arizona in 1981. Carlton passed away in 2006.
During her retirement years Ardoth worked as a caregiver and was an abiding figure in the lives of her two remaining children and her two grandchildren. With her happy and optimistic presence her home was always open to her friends and to those who needed a friend..
As her health declined she spent the last three years of her life in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Daniel Spitler, where she enjoyed going out to dinner, having friends over, playing cards and sampling her wine collections. She was always a beloved grandmother to Mathew and Kara Clark. And, she was a "joint custody" puppy parent to Moorea, the family's toy poodle.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela Spitler and her husband Daniel Spitler, her son Troy Clark and his wife Kim, her daughter-in-law, Michelle Clark, and her grandchildren Mathew and Kara Clark.
She was admired and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be remembered and missed.
The family would welcome donations in her memory to the Spitler School Foundation. Online donations can be made using the following link:
