She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia to Lula Adella and Daniel Carl Coffield on October 11, 1945. After high school, she earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education at Arizona State University, where she also met the love of her life, Gary Eugene Kilbourn. They married on August 21, 1965.
Ann was a caring and compassionate first grade teacher who changed lives over many years. She would also proudly tell you that she was the one who taught a current U.S. Congressman to read.
In spite of the difficulties of ALS, Ann still enjoyed holidays with family, cuddling her dogs and a good venti iced mocha.
Ann is survived by her loving husband Gary, sister Karen, daughters Vicki and Debbie, and grandchildren Kayla, Miles, Penny and Luke.
A visitation for Ann will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Ann will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 West Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
