You loved your mom and know she will be missed.  Remember the happy times and that you will be reunited with her one day.

Although there may be tears now. The knowledge that she is in the comforting arms of God will soon lift the sadness you feel and bring a flood of great memories and happy thoughts of her helping God with the new purpose He has for her in heaven. To Terry and Lenord I am so sorry for your loss.

Family and friends will miss your loved one. Please be assured that our heavenly father will not forget her, and may you draw comfort from prayer during this time of sorrow. Psalms 145:18,19

Thank you for sharing her with me. She weaved a thread into my lifes fabric and now her unique fabric is apart of me. I will carry a bit of Aloma with me, for the rest of my days. I raise my horn to her and hail the great life she had. She truly lived long and was surrounded by great family and friends. Her loss made me stop and reflect back upon the time I spent around Aloma and remember a good spirit and a good heart. She could make you laugh and just as quickly make you cry. She held great love for Ben and I always admired and respected their presence together. So, thank you. Thank you for sharing her with me...

Aloma and daughters welcomed me to their circle as one of their own and for that I have been blessed.  May Aloma rest in peace as we rejoice having another angel interceding on our behalf.

Our hearts, prayers and love go out to you all, my dear cousins.  What a blessing it was to have Aloma in our lives!  I know it will be a grand reunion when the Collins and the Spotts meet again in Heaven!

It may be a bit quieter here on earth, but my, doesn't heavens joyful sounds seem louder!

Mom died as she lived, devoted to her family. She called her daughters and grandchildren to be with her Sunday evening, which was the last day that she was conscious. We got to enjoy several loving hours as we said our goodbyes. Though she wasn't able to speak much, she was very much aware, and throughout the evening she shared her affection for her family and love of God. Though she wasn't Catholic, she went to a Catholic high school and several times that evening she led us in the Hail Mary prayer. One of the memories she gave us that night, which will forever bring a smile to my face, is when she pointed to Maddie, smiled and said "Magical, Magical, Magical Maddie."

During the past few months, Mom's ability to swallow had become more and more impossible for her because of a hiatal hernia, which she had had most of her adult life, but which she had refused to fix with surgery. By March the hernia had been diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic Hospital as a "large paraesophageal hernia," which was untreatable and led to aspiration pneumonia. She was transferred from the Mayo Clinic Hospital to Hospice of the Valley Thunderbird on Saturday, March 22.

During her final months, when she was having difficulty swallowing, beer had become one of her favorite sources of nourishment. So we brought a six-pack of beer to Hospice, one bottle of which she enjoyed that evening. By Sunday she couldn't even swallow beer. She never regained consciousness after she went to sleep Sunday night. On Tuesday evening, Greg and I toasted her with Mom's two remaining beers, which we shared with Mom, using a swab. I held her in my arms and she died peacefully and with dignity.

I thank God every day for giving me Aloma and Ben as my parents. I'm so happy they're together again in heaven.
