Alice M Smith

Alice Smith, a long time resident of Jackson NE died peacefully in her sleep June 19, 2012 in Tempe, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Mary Jane (Mamie) Koch, by her sisters Helen, Mildred, and Mary Gertrude, by her brothers John Mathias and Paul Anthony and by her husband of 45 years, Frank Smith. She is survived by her sister, Teresa Lux (Tempe AZ) and by her children: Sister Anne Marie Smith (Tempe AZ), Frances Smith (Oceanside CA), Janette Smith (San Francisco CA), Carol (Bill) Moses (Chandler AZ), Faye (Larry) Draper (Raleigh NC), Matt (Sue) Smith (Omaha NE) and Bob Smith (Lincoln NE), 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, Tempe AZ on Thursday, June 21 at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson NE on Monday, June 25 at 10 a.m. The Rosary and Wake is at 4 and 7 p.m. on June 24 and prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery in Jackson NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John’s Cemetery Association for on-going care and preservation of the cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Carr-Tenney Mortuary, Tempe.
