Adriana (Irene) Klein, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, November 30 in Glendale, Arizona at the age of 98. Adriana was born on November 8, 1925, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (nee Palestini) Ripani. Since 1969, Adriana has called Arizona home. She spent most of her adult life first as a homemaker and then as a sales representative for Estee Lauder Cosmetics. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Adriana graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, in 1944. She worked for Canady Auto and Montgomery Wards until she started a family. As her children got older, she became a sales representative for Kline’s Department Store until she moved from Chicago Heights to Arizona. She then started her successful career in cosmetic sales winning multiple sales awards from Estee Lauder Cosmetics. After retiring, she spent many years as a volunteer at John C. Lincoln Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, her parents, Andrew and Anna Ripani, and her sisters Mary Stracci and Jennie Fiegle. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Shaffer and Gail Clemens, her grandchildren, Kelley Clemens, and Eric Clemens, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank Morningside Assisted Living and Memory Care at Arrowhead for their kind and loving care of her in the last four months of her life. The family would also like to thank Mountainview Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for caring for her in her final days.
