Tamara “ Tammy” Wood, 53, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Tuesday June 21, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm EDT Saturday June 25th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, with the Reverend Barry Danner officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive

Mrs. Wood was born January 4, 1958 in Ogden, Utah, daughter of the late Arden Roberts and Dora Segmiller Roberts Hankler of Moses Lake, WA. She was a homemaker and animal rescue volunteer with “For Paws” of Auburn, AL.
Survivors other than her mother include her husband of 24 years, John Stephen Wood of Phenix City, her daughter, Crystal Marie Wood of Pensacola, FL., sisters, Torrie Melton of Yakima, WA. and Sydney Mason of Pasco, WA., mother and father-in-law, Carol and John Wood of Phenix City, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
