Mr. Faircloth served in the National Guard and was activated to the US Army during the Berlin Crisis. He was also retired from Ken Thomas Honda in Columbus.
He volunteered many hours at the boys club of Phenix city coaching basketball, baseball and football. He enjoyed drag racing in the 1960’s and held a national record for quarter mile speed, in his class, for a short time.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faircloth; brother Eurple; grandchildren Ely, Audrey, and Ian Faircloth.
Services to honor Mr. Faircloth will be held, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, 36870 with Pastor Jack Wallace officiating.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, 36870.
Survivors include his sons, Larry and John (Denise) Faircloth both of Salem AL; Grandchildren, Trent (Cayte) Faircloth, Zoe Faircloth, Danielle Faircloth, Amy Faircloth, Deanna Faircloth and Nicole Smith; 9 Great Grandchildren
