A visitation for family and friends for Sarah will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A graveside funeral service will occur Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Mrs. Pope was born March 31, 1933 in Chipley, Florida; daughter of the late Henry and Mamie Etheridge. She was retired from the Russell County Dept. of Human Resources and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Earle Pope.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley Earle Pope and Yolanda Pope, grandson, Storm Pope and his fiance', MacKenzie Thornton, nieces, Kristine Kuhns and Cricket.
