Phenix City, AL- Sarah Lillian Myrick, 85, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Myrick was born on June 22, 1931 in Crenshaw, county, Alabama to the late Thomas Hollis Barrow and Lillie Pearl Linton Barrow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. "Chuck" Myrick, and her sister, Lillie Beatrice Barrow. A resident of Phenix City since 1941, she was a member of Summerville Baptist Church, she taught the Senior Adult Sunday School Class, and was a registered nurse. Mrs. Myrick worked for Dr. David White, Dr. Carden and Dr. Warr. She taught Health occupations at the Phenix City School system.
She is survived by a daughter: Leslie (Gerald) Simmons of Phenix City, grandchildren: Jonathan (Samantha) Simmons of Summerdale, AL., and Jeremy Simmons of Phenix City, and a great-grandson: Harper Simmons of Summerdale, AL.
Visitation will be 10:00 am, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 3770 Hwy. 431 North Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, with Dr. David White and Reverend Robert Goodman officiating. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to; Summerville Baptist Church, in memory of Sarah Lillian Myrick.
