A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at 11:00 am CST Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Hatchechubbee United Methodist Church in Hatchechubbee, AL with Felix "Buddy” Walker Jr. officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
Sandra was born April 29, 1940 in Marietta, GA, daughter of the late Roland Guy Peek and Bunice Wimpey Peek, and grew up in Columbus, GA. She and her loving husband of 41 years, Willard H. Jones, whom she married on August 4, 1962, lived in Hatchechubbee, AL until he passed away on October 10, 2002 and their son, Jason Willard Jones, passed away on June 25, 1967.
Sandra was a ray of sunshine and one of the sweetest, most beautiful people you could ever meet. She loved a good cup of coffee and Gladys Pitts’ peanut butter pie. She cherished her family, was a devoted wife, and loving mother. Sandra had a great sense of humor and delighted everyone with her contagious laughter. She was a true treasure.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Lynn Jones of Atlanta, GA and Georgia Jones Worth and husband Robert of Cataula, GA, a brother, Donald Peek of Columbus, GA, a sister-in-law, Judy Peek of Columbus, GA and her beloved dog, Katie.
