Rosanna "Rosa" McLendon King

Rosanna M. "Rosa" King, 94 of Phenix City, AL died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Phenix City Health Care. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. EST in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. King was born November 30, 1915 in Pike County, AL, daughter of the late William Elijah and Willie Ann Davis McLendon. She was retired from West Point Pepperell Mill and was a member of Shady Woods Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. King.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Cook of Smiths, AL, Christine Lunsford and her son Albert J. King both of Phenix City, AL, sister, Lizzie Green of Banks, AL, grandsons, Wade Cook, Carl Arrowood, Joe Arrowood, granddaughters, Janet Pickrell, Susan Dawson, ten great grandchildren, Stacey Brown, Ryan Pickrell, Jeremy Cook, Amanda Cook, C.J. Arrowood, Amber Raybon, Kyle Arrowood, Logan Arrowood, Joshua Dawson, Christy Dawson, three great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
