Rex Ronald Owens

Rex Ronald Owens (RFO), age 59, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. RFO was born June 18, 1962 in Americus, Georgia. He is preceded by his father, Rex Owens and survived by his mother, Shirley Owens of Ellaville, GA and his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Owens. Mr. Owens installed heating & air for the most part of his life. He was a dedicated Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

He is also survived by two brothers, Rick Owens and Ellis Van Dyke; six wonderful kids, Brandon Owens (Marie), Nichole Owens Avery (Dwayne), Bruce Owens, Addilee Andrews, Katie Presley (Matt), Bridgette Presley (Shane). Mr. Owens loved all of his 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild with all of his heart.

He was a true man of God and was recently saved and reborn.

A visitation for family and friends for Rex will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 5:00 PM.
