Mary Charliene Avant

Mary Charliene Avant, age 67, of Cataula, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Mary was born October 12, 1954, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Charles Andrew Bruner and the late Mary Ann Brunner.

A Celebration of Life service for Mary will be held at 2:00 pm (EST), Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, 36867. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, 36867. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the chapel service at the Funeral Home.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Andrew Brunner and Mary Ann Brunner; cousins, Richard Lamb, Chelsea Lamb, Michael Boling, Caleb Boling.

She is survived by her son, Charles Andrew Avant; step daughter, Sue; cousins, Wanda Lamb, Ray Davis, Lilly Lamb, Elizabeth Lamb, Devynn Boling, Kaylie Boling; nephew, Richard B Lamb, Robert Earl Avant, Dennis Avant, and Sue Avant.

Friends, Danny Sams, Eugene, Kerry Mess, Jimmy Norton; two beloved dogs, King and Candy.
