Lucy Juanita Henderson, 78, of Smiths Station, Alabama, died Thursday November 18, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday November 20th at the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770
Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, with the Reverend Jeff Dravenstott officiating. Interment will be 3pm Saturday at the Colquitt Cemetery in Colquitt, Georgia with the Reverend Jonathan Clark officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Henderson was born September 22, 1932 in Miller County, Georgia, daughter of the late John Suggs and Lilla Mae Everett Suggs. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with Columbus Regional Medical Center and the former Cobb Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Smiths Station. Other than her parents she is preceded by her husband. Jessie G. Hill and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jessie Hill of Smiths Station and Randall Hill of Salem, AL., 2 daughters, Kimberly Ragsdale and Carleen Menz of Smiths Station, brother, James Suggs of Donaldsonville, GA., sister, Shirley Cunningham of Dothan, AL., 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
