Judy Golden Rathel

Judy Golden Rathel, 73 of Salem, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at her home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL with Pastor Fred Wilks officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rathel was born November 18, 1949 in Troy, Pike County, Alabama; daughter of the late Murray Francis Golden and Ruth Wilks Golden. She was secretary in earlier years and a homemaker. She was a member of River of Life Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Leanna Madison King.

Survivors include her husband, Donald A. Rathel, Jr., daughter, Vangie King and husband, Joey, son, Shane Rathel and wife, Felicia; grandchildren, Kaleigh King Smallwood and husband, Jalen, Hunter King, Colby Rathel, Jackson Davis, Abigail Rathel and great grandchild, Weston Smallwood.
