A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 11, 2024 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby with Pastor Lynn McManious officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service.
Joshua was born July 16, 2004 in Columbus Georgia. He lived in Smith Station, Alabama and graduated from Smith Station High School in 2022. He was employed at Archie's Heating and Cooling.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Pamela, Hilliard; grandparents, Jerry and Debbie Hilliard, ( Nana and Papa); Aunt (Gigi), Jennifer Hilliard Folds(Rick) ; Uncle, Scotty Hilliard (Kimberly) ; cousins, Mason Dozier, Jake Folds, Nevaeh Gordon, Devon Hilliard, and Brooke Hilliard; girlfriend, Nicole Hodgins and many close friends he considered family.
Joshua was a 3rd degree black belt, a local karate champion and grand champion throughout multiple karate circuits, including GMKC and ASKL. He earned hundreds of trophies and medals in point sparring, continuous, sparring, traditional and creative forms, as well as traditional and creative weapons. His deep knowledge and patience, made him an outstanding instructor, beloved by all his students and teammates.
Joshua's exceptional qualities included kindness, compassion, intelligence, and a great sense of humor. His loyalty and readiness to assist others were unwavering. He prioritized family and was consistently thoughtful.
Joshua's memory will forever be held in his loved one's hearts.
