John Stanley Kelly Sr.

John Stanley Kelly, Sr., 64 of Salem, AL passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm EST at Evergreen Memory Gardens according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelly was born December 16, 1947, son of the late Rev. H. J. Kelly and Ruby Walters Kelly. He was a retired carpenter and Freewill Baptist by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Marlowe and Mary Frances Bright.

Survivors include his son, John Stanley Kelly, Jr., grandson, Christopher Michael Kelly both of Columbus, GA, sisters and brothers, Dorothy George of Phenix City, AL, Joseph Thomas Kelly of Cataula, GA, Mabel Coreda Spikes, Douglas Alvin Kelly both of Phenix City, AL, Deborah Ann Tamor of Salem, AL, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
