Jeannie Nadine Tew Smith

February 23, 1931 -- December 27, 2024

Jeannie Nadine Tew Smith, of Smiths Station, AL, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 27, 2024, at home, surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 7807 Lee County 246, Smiths Station, AL 36877.

Mrs. Smith was born on February 23, 1931, daughter of the late William Lee Tew and Loren Fleming Tew. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Smith was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church for many years. She had lived in St. Petersburg, Florida the last few years with her daughter. She loved playing dominoes with her friends, crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite baseball teams.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Freddie Smith, her parents, William Lee and Lorene Tew and brother, Billy Don Tew.

She is survived by daughter, Sandra Miller (Floyd Fulford) and son, Gary Smith (Diane). She was Grandmother to Lisa Abston (Chris), Kim Smith, Taryn Galvin (Mike), Laura Reed, and Jonathan Miller. In addition, she was Great-Grandmother to Ryan, Alex (Caitlin), Blake (Angel), and Emma Abston, Kyra, Kinsley, Karsyn and Kaitlyn Galvin, Jack and London Reed. She was also great-great-grandmother to Kamryn, Hudson, Madelyn, Brooks, Ava Grace, Parker and Baylor. Her sweet legacy will live on through these many blessings. She had several nieces and nephews and many friends who were like family.
