Hilda R. Long

Hilda R. Long, 76 of Phenix City, AL died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. EDT in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL with Chaplain Charles Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Long was born September 30, 1933 in Blue Springs, AL, daughter of the late Talmadge and Maggie Pippins Helms. She was a homemaker and other than her parents, was preceded in death by her husband Bob J. Long.

Survivors include her children, Danny Long of Smiths, AL, Terry Long and wife Sandy of Skipperville, AL, Debra Willcutt and husband Roy of Phenix City, AL, Roger D. Long and wife Tammy of Blue Springs, AL, Thomas long of Phenix City, AL , brother, Max Helms and wife Yvonne of Blue Springs, AL five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
