Gloria Ann Harden Cavanaugh, 76 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away at her home, Thursday, July 20, 2017.
Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by her family; her husband of 55 years, Charles Arthur (Bob) Cavanaugh, her son, Charles Andrew (Andy) Cavanaugh, Mrs. Jeanie Hitt and her daughter, Angela Claire Cavanaugh. Mrs. Cavanaugh is preceded in death by her father, Grover Harden, her mother, Beulah Harden and her son, Daniel Franklin (Danny) Cavanaugh.
Mrs. Cavanaugh loved her family and friends. She was an avid reader, especially of mystery novels. She was an animal lover who loved her cats. She was also and avid watcher of television.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL and a class of 1959 graduate of Central High School. She also attended the University of Alabama and graduated from CVCC in 1976. She worked for and retired from the Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist. She also owned and operated her own typing service, Trans-Tex Services which she finally closed in 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
