A visitation for family and friends for George "Butch" will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a graveside funeral service at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Claridy was born April 2, 1950 in Columbus, georgia; son of the late George B. Claridy and Marilyn Orr Claridy. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and later was a truck driver.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah A. Smart Claridy, brother, Charles Rollins and his sister, Alice Rollins.
Survivors include his sons, Jared B. Claridy, Sr. and wife (C.J.), Jacob Claridy (Maggie), grandchildren, Jared Claridy, Jr., Brandon Claridy, Luke Claridy, Robert Jones and Justin Nipper.
