Ernie M. Turner

Ernie Miriam Turner, 80 of Salem, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL . Burial will follow in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Turner was born April 29, 1937 in Columbus, Georgia; daughter of the late Isaac B. and Verna Mae Hill Turner. She was retired as general manager from Denney's Restaurant and loved gardening. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry, June, Roscoe and Brady Turner.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Dosier Howe (David) of Opelika, AL, Phyllis Barfield (Jody) of Americus, GA, seven grandchildren, Crystal Cook (Dale), B.J. Birmingham (Valerie) all of Opelika, AL, Jessie Hubbard (Phil) of Spartanburg, SC, Kyle Barfield of Columbus, GA, Bryanna Carroll (Christopher) , Katherine Dosier both of Salem, Al, Robert Howe of San Marcos, TX, 11 great grandchildren, sister, Nancy Turner of Salem, AL, long time companion, Daniel "Red" Robinson of Salem, AL.
