She is survived by her three children: Christe L. Patterson and her partner Shelley Cullison, Windel L. Patterson, Jr. and his wife Donita Wilson Patterson, and Coney D. Patterson, and her husband Jason Tengan. She is also survived by a grandson, Trae Patterson, and his spouse, Erin Patterson, as well as a brother-in-law, Albert Poulson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Patterson, her sister, Frances Bowden Poulson, her mother Ruby Todd Bowden and father Coney Young Bowden. A dedicated mother and nurse practitioner, Connie spent her life taking care of others. She was a world traveller and a lifelong learner. Among her many community affiliations, Connie was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Red Hat Society, Eastern Star, and was a frequent volunteer at the Springer Opera House. She remains beloved by many and will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
Visitation will be at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, Friday, January 20, and formal viewing with the family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21 at St. George's Anglican Church in Columbus, GA. with the Very Reverend Father Richard Waller officiating.
