Charles Alan Haywood

Charles Alan Haywood, age 58, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama on Saturday, May 18, 2019, 2 p.m. with Reverend Samuel Coulter officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama.

Mr. Haywood, son of Rita Maria Mueller Haywood and the late Bobbie Wade Haywood, was born March 11, 1961 in Landstuhl, Germany. He attended The Fort Church and was a member of the Fort Benning Masonic Lodge #579. Mr. Haywood lived a full life, enjoyed classic cars, and was an avid Alabama football fan. He loved his family, especially the grandkids, and loved his "OG." His family remember him being a man of patience; always respecting others; and a good man.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Alan Haywood.

He is survived by his fiance', Michelle Bennett of Phenix City, Alabama; mother, Rita Haywood of Columbus, Georgia; sister, Pat Wastion of Phenix City, Alabama; two brothers, Bobby (Tracie Cox) Haywood of Columbus, Georgia and Cory Haywood, also of Columbus, Georgia; two stepchildren, Sherri Britton and Kenneth Bennett III; five grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
