It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, William Abella Labrador who left us on April 5, 2025 at the age of 80 surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. He was a man of immense wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.
William was born in Pangasinan, Philippines on January 18, 1945 to Teodocia Abella and Albino Labrador. He grew up in San Narcico, Zambales with 7 siblings. He graduated as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Feati University in the Philippines. He met his wife, Lolita Fanugao in 1962 and they were married in August 22, 1968. Together they had three children.
William was a devoted father. William worked with Air America in Vietnam, Iran Aircraft Industry and Kuwait Airways. William was a hardworking man and very dedicated to his work. He raised his family on his own while mother took care of us. Dad embraced life with vigor, enthusiasm and a vibrant interest in others and the world around him. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house.
William was an amazing grandpa. His love for his family was unconditional. He was cherished and will deeply and dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
William is survived by his wife Lolita, three children, Webster (Lira), Windie Lyn and Werwin; grandchildren, Gien Marie, Patrick, William Edward and Nathan Jon.
William was preceded in death by his parents Teodocia Abella and Albino Labrador; and his brothers Teodoro, Marcelino and Patricio.
A simple service celebrating William's life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577, followed by a rosary service at 6:00 PM. His final resting place will be in the Philippines.
