Sonia R. Palomin

Born in Allende, Nuevo Leon, she lived her younger years in San Juan, then married and lived in Pharr, and her latest years in Mission. She married the love of her life Gregorio on August 21, 1982, and together they formed a beautiful family with two children. Sonia had a natural talent with creative arts and loved her garden. She was a very loving and caring wife, always making sure her husband was taken care of. As a mother she was a role model, very understanding, more than a mother she was her children's home teacher and best friend. Sonia enjoyed traveling with her family around the world and especially shopping. Her beautiful smile, unique personality, and her soft touch will be greatly missed by her family and friends forever.

Sonia is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years of marriage, Gregorio Palomin; her two children, Pedro Palomin, Bianca Palomin; her dog, Oreo; and her mother, Elisa Reyes.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley and a Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Parish in Pharr. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
