Maria G. Luna, 89, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024 to be with our Lord & Savior. She was born in Mercedes, Tx on September 8, 1934.
Maria also known by her nickname "La Chiquinina" lived most of her life in Edinburg, Tx. She is survived by her children Ruben (Alma) Luna Jr., Reynaldo Luna, Ronaldo Luna, Velmalinda Moreno, Carmen Nelda Luna (Reyes Garcia), Thelma (David) Gonzales; one sister, Guadalupe Jasso; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Carmen Guzman, two sons, Rene Luna and Ricardo Luna.
A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 5pm to 10pm with a rosary service at 7pm. Services will continue Tuesday, June 25, 2024 with a funeral mass at 10am followed by burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens at 11am.
