Born in McAllen, he was a lifetime resident of Pharr. Marco was a family oriented man, he enjoyed family gatherings and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Rita Cortez.
Mr. Cortez is survived by his father, Jesus Cortez; four siblings, Fernando Cortez, Fermin Cortez, Miriam (Scott O'brien) Perez, Veronica (Demetrius) Davis; grandson, Charlie; and step-daughter, Shannell Barbosa; and numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 10 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Catholic service will be at 10 am on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Burial will continue at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
