Juan is survived by his beloved daughters Yesenia Lara (Joe) and Vanessa Lara; 6 grandchildren, Richard, Samantha, Jaime, Aaron, Alondra and Adrian; 3 brothers, Javier, Jorge and Joel; 1 sister, Maria Del Carmen as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Estella Lara and brother, Jaime.
Juan was a beloved father, son and brother. He was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He had various hobbies such as hunting, and golf but among those his favorite pastimes was spending time with his brothers and afternoon drinks with his "primos". Juan was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and was true to the blue watching their games weekly. He had a lucky hand and often won after purchasing pot numbers. Juan dedicated 25+years to Evins Juvenile Detention Correctional Center where he retired as a Correctional Officer. His devotion was recognized numerous times, and he even received an award for 13 years of perfect attendance. Juan's charisma and unique personality will forever be remembered and greatly missed.
A visitation for Juan will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley of Pharr, Texas.
