Jose M. Hinojosa

Born in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, he lived most of his life in McAllen, Texas. He married the love of his life, Irma G. Hinojosa and together they had a beautiful family with five children. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an avid baseball fanatic and always the life of the party.

He enjoyed telling jokes, making people laugh, cooking for family and friends. He kept healthy by his daily 3 mile morning walks. His unique charisma and smile are going to be greatly missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Petra Zambrano and Gregorio Hinojosa.

Jose Maria is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years of marriage , Irma G. Hinojosa; his five children, Irma (Orlando) Zuniga, Jose (Lori) Hinojosa, Luis (Monica Guerra) Hinojosa, Ana (Alan) Hinojosa Santi, Joanna (Mike) Aguirre; his seven grandchildren, Christian Zuniga, Ivan Zuniga, Elena Hinojosa, Leyla Hinojosa, Viviana Hinojosa, Jace Aguirre, Hazel Aguirre ; and two great- grandchildren, Mila Zuniga and Roman Zuniga; numerous extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 11 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A catholic service will be held at 10 am, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
