Just wanted to say I have been thinking about the memories of our time at the Border Patrol Academy and how Fabela gave us advice on marching,  how to carry ourselves and a few other things at the beginning, because many of us had never been in the military before. He was funny and energetic. I remember the energy he would bring to our academy classes especially during  PT. He was a very fun loving person, and will be missed by all,

To the Fabela family,

I only knew him briefly, but it was always memorable.

Javi always stopped to help a fellow coworker with anything, especially if it was a learning moment. He seemed very calm at most moments, but he had a hardy laugh if you found it. I’ll never forget when I caught him off guard with what I considered a tame joke and made him double over with laughter. That is what I remember.  

He told me to aspire to try to be a level higher than I was already.  He said he could see potential in me. And I’ll always remember that. Fabela will always be in my memory.

My prayers are lifted on behalf of the Fabela family. I have great memories of my days in the Rio Grande Children’s Home along with Javier… I cling to the blessed hope in Christ that we shall see each other again. There, in the presence of our Savior free from heartache, pain, and suffering… May everyone that was part of Javier’s life come to know Christ not only as Savior, but also as Lord of their lives. 

I met him briefly at your home a couple of times when we were alot younger. Just truly sad that he is gone. He is in a better place know. My thoughts and heart goes out his family. May God speed their healing. To Alex and Patty if you need anything I will be there for you guys...

I never expected to lose you this soon big brother.  I will always appreciate the amazing friend that you have been to me.  I'm sorry that I failed you.  I should have been there for you.  I love you brother and I will try to be there for your kids because I know that is what you would do.  You were always such a light in my life and I wish I would have told you how much you meant to me and my family so that you would know that you weren't alone.  I will truly, truly miss you!

Sincere condolences to the family.  My family knew Javier since he was in Jr High School at Valley Christian School. He was a sweet kid then and we always enjoyed watching the kids play basketball together. Even after they all left school He was always friendly and kind whenever we would see him. Breaks my heart for the family that will miss him so much. May he Rest In Peace.

I first met Javier at the children’s home. I was lost and didn’t know what was going on he was the one person who made me feel comfortable and understood me. I saw him again a few years after I joined the navy again same kind spirit and caring friend. My condolences for your loss and God bless
