Guadalupe will be deeply missed for her unwavering love, contagious laughter, and vibrant personality.
Born on March 2, 1929 in Edinburg, Texas. Lupita, as she was referred to, was raised with 19 other siblings in the outskirts of Edinburg. As a devout Catholic, she developed a strong faith that stayed with her throughout her life. She found solace and strength in her spirituality, and her love for God was evident in the way she lived her life and treated others. Lupita was known for her deep appreciation for simple pleasures, one of which was indulging in her favorite treat - a delicious #7 Whataburger meal. She would often gather her family and friends for bingo outings, making tamales, making her famous ‘Pan de polvo’, Sunday family bbq's at her house, and JcPenny shopping trips. One of her cherished pastimes was getting her hair and makeup done. She believed in looking her best in every situation, radiating confidence and elegance wherever she went. Whether it was for a special occasion or just a casual outing, she always took the time to ensure her appearance was impeccable. Beyond her devotion and love for her faith was her love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom share special memories of her.
Guadalupe is survived by many family and friends who will cherish her memory.
Many thanks go to Las Palmas Nursing home where she resided the last years of her life. The family is thankful for all the love and care the staff shared for Lupita.
