Feliciano Saenz, age 83, of McAllen, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. He was born in Santa Elena, Texas, and later moved to Corpus Christi in 1971, where he built a loving family and enjoyed a life filled with joy and passion. In 2022, Feliciano relocated back to McAllen to be with his family in his final years.
Feliciano was married to the love of his life, Virginia, for nearly 60 years, and together they raised a beautiful family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Saenz; his children Homer Saenz (Imelda) and Myrna Wilson (Todd). Feliciano's legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Ashley Lozano (Mark), Victoria Day (Michael), Elizabeth Saenz (Morgan), DJ Saenz (Molly), Mark Saenz, David Saenz, and Joseph Saenz, as well as his great-grandchildren: Wilson Day, Sophia Lozano, Mason Casarez, Katherine Day, and Lucas Lozano. He is also survived by his siblings: Elda Guerra, Hermilo Saenz, and Florentino Saenz Jr. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Martha Saenz and numerous family and friends.
Feliciano was preceded in death by his son Daniel Saenz; his parents, Florentino Saenz and Ramona Vela; and his brothers Fidelio Saenz, Rogelio Saenz, Rene Saenz, and Leonel Saenz.
A devout member of the Knights of Columbus at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Feliciano was a man of faith and dedication. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from golfing and bowling to billiards and spending time at the casinos. He was also passionate about DIY projects, particularly woodworking, where his creativity and skill left a lasting impact on everyone who saw his work.
Feliciano’s kindness, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love for his family and his enjoyment of life’s many blessings will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation for Feliciano will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A funeral mass will occur Monday, March 24, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 1108 W Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501 followed by a burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577.
