From her early tomboy years, growing up in lively company with five brothers, Estela was a force of nature; strong, feisty and always ready to lend a hand. Her love for the outdoors was instilled in her childhood games with her siblings. Estela channeled her bossy but endearing nature into a passion for party planning. Hostess extraordinaire, she relished every chance to bring family and friends together. Her love for children was immeasurable and genuinely reciprocated. Her affections weren't limited to people. Estela was an avid Elvis fan, found comfort in watching TV novelas, and held a sweet spot for ice cream, grapefruits, and Coke. However, the cherished memory of her making tamales alongside her mother, brothers, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-laws epitomizes the essence of Estela – dedicated, heartwarming, and caring. Her legacy will carry on in the stories we share, the parties we plan in her honor, and every tamale we prepare.
Survived by her five brothers, Refugio Hernandez, Ismael (Dora) Hernandez, David Hernandez, Robert (Martha) Hernandez, Raul (Lindy) Hernandez; with over thirty-two nieces and nephews; many more family and friends.
Estela is preceded in death by her parents, Ismael and Margarita Hernandez.
