I knew Mundy and his family when we moved to Evans Subdivision back in the mid 70's. He was the nice guy and was there to help out. I remember he worked at Texaco and one of my brothers worked with him. I had some issue with my truck where the fan belt that got loose. I drove to a Texaco him and my brother worked at and barely made it there. He had the biggest heart and so kind gentleman and fixed for.  As matter of fact, I went to school with you Debi Soto in '75. Our condolences to Debbie and family on this great loss, I just found about it.  May the Lord our God continue to comfort all of you. Letter to my sister, Gilda Debbie Cantu. Things I'm thankful for........ I thank GOD you retired and got to spend that time with Mundi while he worked and then especially when he retired himself. I thank GOD that you and Ash had a chance to tell him you loved him that early Tuesday morning when GOD needed him and  called him to be by his side! I thank GOD you were blessed with a beautiful man that showered  you with happiness, made you his priority and was a great husband, father and grandfather.  I thank GOD that he gave our family Mundi and we had someone we could always count with. I thank GOD that my children were secure knowing that there tio loved them immensely and would do anything for them. I thank GOD that we got the privilege to share our life with this kind, generous man. I THANK GOD that Mundi made our family feel complete. I thank GOD he was my granddaughters GODfather. I thank GOD that he always knew how much WE LOVED him! I thank GOD that my husband and I were blessed to call him brother in law. Missing you!

Mundi was an integral part of our cohesive family. He was intertwined into the fabric of our life.  When our parents passed we were hurting but we knew we would be OK because we had each other to rely on but now we are missing a valuable constant in our life. How do we navigate our world going forward without Mundi, I know with GODs help we will and with time manage to go on and carry our wonderful memories of a life well lived. But for now, Mundi, you are missed and will be missed and it hurts so much to not have you here with us! Our love for you is infinite. Angel and Dee

A letter to my uncle. 
As we gather today to celebrate your life it’s easy to reflect on a journey we have all somehow shared with you.  I stand before you all  on behalf of myself, my sister Lori and my brother David.  Many of our memories of Tio take me back to the earliest of memories of my life.  Tio Mundi married into our family but our relationship with him was thicker than blood.  For many years he lived right next to us with Tia Debbie & Ashley and there was almost never a time when we weren’t together taking road trips.  So when We say Tio was like a second father to us it was because he was. He was always there!  They were always there.  At every celebration, at every event & at every milestone.  He was a source of trust and motivation.    He saw us through it all and because of that We always knew that in the event that we lost one of our parents he & tia would’ve never hesitated to step right in to ensure we were taken care of.  Fortunately while he was here with us he never needed to take on that role but boy did he still step up in more ways than anyone will ever know but make no mistake, these blessings weren’t just restricted to us. he extended them to every person that crossed his path.  My uncle took on many roles in his lifetime.  He was a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a husband, a father, a god father and grandfather and out of all these he excelled at 3.. He was a wonderful, devoted & loving husband, father and grandfather. My aunt and uncle have been married 42 years and We can tell you that We never questioned the love and loyalty he had towards his family. They were everything to him and when it came to Ashley he could never say no. So it was definitely no surprise that when his grand babies came along it was no different.   Continued…
