Arnold or Nufito as he was known by many, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8th, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Edinburg, on Sunday, August 20th of 1967, the first born to Arnulfo and Ofelia Gomez whom have preceeded in death.
Arnold was an extraordinary individual whose life was a testament to his amazing character and unwavering love for his family and friends. He was the pillar of strength, the guiding light, and the embodiment of love and devotion. Arnold's warm heart, love for his family, and unwavering kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Arnold's talents extended to his love for the outdoors. He was not just an avid fisherman and hunter but a master of these pursuits, displaying a remarkable skill that inspired admiration. In addition his remarkable ability on the pool table was matched only by his sportsmanship and generosity. He was always willing to share his knowledge and expertise, nurturing the talents of aspiring players and fostering camaraderie within the pool community.
Arnold exemplified love through his constant affection for Missy, the love of his life, the one who held the key to his heart. Their love story was a beautiful example of the power of fate, bringing them together in a way that left a lasting impression on those who knew them. Proving that true love could conquer all challenges that life threw their way.
His role as a father went beyond measure. He was a source of endless support, encouragement, and wisdom to his greatest blessings, his daughters - Olga, Vanessa, Samantha, and Stephanie. His love for them knew no bounds, and he instilled in them values that will continue to shine brightly. His relationship with his bonus daughter, Mona, was a testament to his open heart and capacity for love. He embraced her with the same warmth and care as his biological children.
But nothing brought more joy then those whom only knew him as "Grandpa Blue". His pride and joy Macynzee and Mason whom he cherished their presence and their laughter, finding immense joy in watching them grow.
Among his closest companions in life were his three brothers. Martin (Graciela), Jose (Dalia) and Juan (Angie) Their brotherhood was marked by wisdom, humor, and an unwavering commitment to one another till the very end.
Arnold cherished his nieces and nephews deeply. His love for Gabriel, Isaac, Israel, Glenda, Amber, Vero, Bianca, Yesenia, JR, and Damian was immeasurable, and they held a special place in his heart throughout his life.
He had a special place in his heart for his canines, which included Honey, Jelly Bean, Jeff, Sunflower, and Skully. His home was always filled with the wagging tails and joyful antics of these faithful companions
Deeply honored by the selection, Joel Colunga, Dionicio Garza, Gilbert Hernandez, Jeremiah Hernandez, Isidro Escobar, and his Compadre, Juan Rios, will serve as pallbearers.
Arnold leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In this time of grief, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Arnulfo and hold them close to our hearts as we bid farewell to a truly remarkable soul.
Friends and family are invited to join us for visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at Del Angel Palm Valley, with a Christian Service at 7 p.m. The burial will take place on Wednesday, September 13th at 9 a.m. at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
