Yvonne Marie Crum

She was surrounded by her family who loved her more than words can accurately capture.

Yvonne was born on August 27th, 1954 to Jesse and Bertha Gonzales in Riverside, California. As a family in the military, they lived in California, Hawaii, Spain, and Texas. During this time, she created several special memories with her younger brother Albert Gonzales. In 1972, Yvonne graduated from Reagan High School and later went on to briefly attend Southwest Texas State University.

Although Yvonne had many jobs such as telephone operator, working at a family owned business named Kids Trends, a dedicated stay at home mother, and later, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas; she bravely began her own medical billing business, First Texas Medical Billing. Her courage and bravery in establishing her own business allowed her to be there for moments of her children’s lives she was unwilling to miss or let slip by.

In June of 2007, Yvonne married her husband David Allen Crum. Although their marriage occurred much later in life, they were drawn to each other at the young age of 12 and 13 when their paths crossed at Del Valle Middle School. Their love was a strong, pure, and precious love.

Yvonne had two children, son Bryan Velasquez and daughter Amber Velasquez.

Yvonne was a fiercely and passionately dedicated mother to Bryan and Amber, modeling for them love and strength daily. She brought joy to the little things and beauty to an unexpected handwritten card. She is remembered as bubbly, spirited, loving and absolutely beautiful. She was gentle and attached strongly to the animals she owned. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, David Allen Crum of Austin, Texas; son, Bryan Velasquez and his wife Stephanie Velasquez of Hutto, Texas; daughter Amber Velasquez of Austin, Texas; brother, Albert Gonzales and wife Jill Gonzales of Arlington, Texas, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bertha and Jesse Gonzales; her grandparents, and many extended family members.

The service celebrating and honoring our beloved Yvonne Marie Crum will be held on April 25th, 2021 at 11am at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628.
