Mr. Jenkins honorably served his country during WWII, in the 44th Infantry, Sixth Armored Division, receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He retired as a foreman in the underground utilities field.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Jenkins and their son, Jackson Lee Jenkins and is survived by son, Robert Jenkins; grandsons, Dane and Ryun Caruthers; great-grandson, Ryun, Jr; brothers, Roy Lee Jenkins and wife Eleanor; Buddy Jenkins and wife Deanna; sisters, Nell Lambert, Shirley and husband Charlie Rissinger many nephews and nieces.
A Chapel Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all involved for his care.
