Andy was born on December 31, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Mary Margaret and William Andrew Gee, Sr. He had three siblings, Thomas Gregory Gee “Greg”, John Stephen Gee “Steve”, and Karen Lorean Gee (Ianno). The family moved to San Antonio, Texas where he attended high school and graduated from Marshall High School in 1972. William married his wife of 34 years, Cynthia Kay Respondek “Cindy”, on July 13, 1985 and they raised two sons together, Coby Colin Gee and Shane Michael Gee in Pflugerville, Texas. He had a passion for coaching sports, and coached both of his sons, along with countless others through years of Little League baseball and youth basketball. He was a craftsman, a fisherman, and enjoyed playing poker and making sure his family always went on vacations to new and interesting places. He worked for Southwestern Bell/¬AT&T in various roles for 37 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Greg. William is survived by his wife Cindy; his sons, Coby and wife Blair, and Shane and wife, Randyl; Grandchildren, Saylor and Griffin; his brother Steve and fiancé Margaret Sanchez; and sister Karen and husband Tony.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with a reception to follow at Louis IX Hall. The burial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
