November 10, 1951 – April 8, 2025
With hearts both heavy with loss and filled with the blessed assurance of eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Victoria Lynn Cox Bullock, who peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior in Austin, Texas on April 8, 2025. Born in Teague, Texas on November 10, 1951, to Sam and Mary Cox, Vicky lived a life dedicated to love, learning, and unwavering faith. She is now reunited with her parents, Sam and Mary, and her brother, Sammy, in eternal peace.
Victoria, affectionately known by many as "Vicky," was a lifelong elementary teacher, a vocation she embraced with passion and dedication, shaping the lives of countless young minds. Her commitment to education extended beyond the classroom as she enthusiastically served as a Vacation Bible School and Sunday School leader, choir member, Girl Scout leader, softball coach, swim team volunteer and band booster volunteer for many years, sharing her faith, joy and love of service with children.
Beyond her professional life, Vicky cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed the thrill of snow skiing, the joy of family trips around Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Florida, and the friendly competition of playing games like Spoons and Chicken Foot. Trivia nights with her children and grandchildren were a source of much laughter and connection. Vicky also found solace and beauty in her garden and expressed her love through her cooking, always bringing people together around her table.
Some of our most treasured memories of Vicky include watching "White Christmas" together, her beautiful voice singing hymns at church and with the radio in the car, and the creative spirit she poured into decorating her classroom each school year and her home for all the holidays.
What we will miss most about Vicky is her always encouraging and easy-to-talk-to nature. She had a remarkable ability to be accepting of everyone where they were, offering a kind ear to all who knew her.
Vicky's faith was the cornerstone of her life. While attending many different churches throughout her life, her relationship with God was deeply personal, like that of dear friends. She regularly shared her faith with her children and grandchildren, and her life was a testament to serving others – within her church communities, local schools, and the wider community. Psalm 23 held a special place in her heart, offering comfort and guidance. She lived with the joyful anticipation of being reunited with her Lord.
Vicky is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 50 years, Garland Bullock; her children, Jamie and Craig Dornak and Derek and Nese Bullock; her cherished grandchildren, Ian, Gabbi, Annie, Devin, Reese, Maddie, Joseph, Vanessa and Garrison; her siblings, Becky Cox and James and Pat Cox, and Brenda Cox; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. She is now at peace, welcomed into the loving embrace of her heavenly Father.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever." - Psalm 23
