Sue was born on July 5, 1939, and was adopted as an infant by her parents Jesse and Iola Stewart. She was raised in Temple, Texas and was their only child.
Throughout her life Sue had many hobbies. She was an avid reader, loved working jigsaw puzzles, knitted and crocheted numerous sweaters, scarves, mittens, and afghans, sewed, quilted, painted, bowled, and raised five energetic children. Sue was an accomplished bridge player winning competitions at the national level, and at one point, she even owned and operated a clothing store.
Sue cherished her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they absolutely adored their Maw Maw.
Sue was predeceased by her husband Bobby Odom. She is survived by her son Bill Odom and wife Dianna Drake, daughter Lori Foerster and husband Rory, son Mark Odom and wife Connie, son J Odom, and son Chris Odom and wife Tracy.
Sue will be laid to rest at a private service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
