Robert “Bob” Townes passed away on March 10, 2025 surrounded by his 2 sons. He was 76 years old. He was born in Austin, Texas where he grew up on 1808 Harvey St with his mother (Mary Ann), father (Ernest), and 2 siblings (Mary Ann and Elaine).
Bob was the proud father of 2 sons (Bobby and Joseph) and a loving husband to Stella Townes. While raising his family and watching his sons play sports, he was a retired Police Officer with 30 years of Law Enforcement Experience and a savvy business entrepreneur. He loved family time and traveling to South Padre beach every summer. Bob loved drinking margaritas, sipping patron, fishing, hunting, dancing and listening to George Strait and Tejano music, laughing with his family while sitting outside barbecuing and enjoying their land in Manor. Bob loved being "Popo" to his grandkids.
Robert is survived by his 2 sons Bobby Townes (Tanya) and Joseph Townes (Jennifer), and two grandchildren, Tyler and Jayla.
The family invites you to join them to celebrate the life of Bob Townes. The service will be this Tuesday,March 18, from 1pm-3pm at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home located at 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660
