Richard Michael Getter, age 55, passed away on September 28, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Richard was born to Timothy and Dorothy Getter on October 25, 1956 in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Cretin High School and attended AVTI Technical College to study computer programming. In 1987 he relocated to Austin, TX to continue to pursue a career in technology. Richard was an avid reader and believed in the power of positive thinking. He was a leader and a mentor of many and believed in instilling values of hard work, positive communication, and creating successes through teamwork. When he passed away, he was doing what he did best, adding value to clients, making new friends and enjoying life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Dorothy and siblings, Rose, Susan, Katherine and James. Richard is survived by his sons, Nicholas and Benjamin.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13th at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home 14501 North IH 35 Pflugerville, TX 78660.
