It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Rick, (as he liked to be called), on October 20th, 2022, with his family by his side at the age of 36 following a battle with diabetes.
Rick is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Pineda, grandfather, Jesus Maria Pineda, grandmother, Rebecca Pineda, grandmother, Petra Valdez. Rick is survived by his daughters, Anavrin Bella Pineda (12yrs old) and Aerial Jude Pineda (7yrs old); mother, Gabriella V. Pineda; grandfather, Genaro Valdez; brothers, Patrick (Grace) Mendoza and Jose Nicanor (Cindy) Pineda; and sisters, Monika Rebeka Pineda (Theresa) and Sonia Lilia (Megan) Pineda-Holter. Rick is also survived by his nieces, Amanda Mendoza (Jesse) and Angelina Mendoza; nephews, Patrick Markkus Mendoza and Patrick Matthew Mendoza; nieces, April (Joseph) Ramirez, Kirsty Pineda and Iylene Pineda; nephews, Jose Nicky Pineda and Justin Pineda. As well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other relatives and friends.
Rick, who was called by his middle name “Jesus” by family, was born in Austin, Texas. He attended McCallum High School and lived in Austin most of his life. Jesus loved his daughters dearly and liked to listen to alternative music, especially Green Day, Linkin Park and Nirvana.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a prayer service to immediately follow in the chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville 78660.
