Ray was born on December 3rd, 1945 in Taylor, Texas. As a young man, he joined the United States Marine Corps and dutifully served two tours during the war of Vietnam. Married to his beloved wife of 52 years, Ray and Emily, “Amelia” as he referred to her, had four children: Barbara, Tracy, Mark, and Gabriel. He was a hardworking and devoted family man and would do anything for them.
Ray enjoyed donating his time to volunteer work for his favorite charities, Meals on Wheels, where he delivered meals to those who needed them and helping out with Sacred Heart at Dolores Catholic Church. In his leisure time, he loved making trips to the casino with his family members and his best friend, Ruben.
Ray is preceded in death by his mother Margaret and survived by his wife, Amelia, four children; Barbara, Tracy, spouse Brian, Mark, and Gabriel, spouse Valerie, 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Brittany, Brian, Hunter, Zavier, Isaac, Gabriella, Daniella, Sophia, Jacob, Jordan, Jeremiah, and Julian. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Joe, Frank, Virginia, Lillie, Emily and Lupe.
