He was born on September 5, 1944. He graduated from McCallum H.S. in 1963. He married his loving wife of 53 years in 1963, then graduated from U.T. Law school in 1969. In Houston, he was General Counsel for Enterprise Products Company, retiring after 25 years.
He was a lifelong avid U.T. Longhorn fan and season ticket holder. He also had a passion for woodworking and hosting family gatherings at the Lodge in Richland Springs.
Mike Community Service included: San Saba Rotary Club, Richland Springs Preservation Society, San Saba County Historical Museum (reporter), San Saba County Historical Commission (identifying 1911 furnishing for Courthouse restoration), Food Bank.
Michael was predeceased by parents Franklin and Ruby (Oehler) Johnson, son Richard Edward Johnson
He is survived by wife Patricia Smith Johnson, sons Ed(Janna),Aaron, Sister Yvonne Carroll(Don),brothers Curtis (Sheila),Gary, Randy(Marci),Nephews Jim(Katie),Andrew, Jake, Richard(Jill),Daniel(Erin),David, and great Nieces Natalie Johnson, Waverly Carroll.
Memorial Services will be held April 6th at 11:00 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 204 West Brown St, San Saba.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made in his name at a charity of your choice. Special Thanks to Texas Home Health Hospice for care and comfort at Legend Oaks healthcare in Austin.
