Mary Ann Esposito

She shared a loving, joyous childhood with her parents, three brothers, and many extended family members in New York, where she met and married the love of her life, Ralph, husband of 62 years, and raised their three children. After many years of being a homemaker, she returned to work in New York City as a Legal Secretary. After retiring, Mary Ann and Ralph moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where they spent 10 wonderful years. As her health declined, they moved to Georgetown, Texas in 2007 and lived in the retirement community, Sun City, to be close to their daughter, Susan, and her husband, Gregg, who have been her caregivers for the remainder of her years. Mary Ann felt very blessed to finally be near family again and to be able to spend holidays and milestones with them.

As a homemaker for many years, she was selflessly dedicated to her family and home. Mary Ann was involved in the PTA, and enjoyed planning family vacations, cooking special Sunday dinners, hosting extended family on holidays, proudly doting on her grandchildren, and traveling to St. Maarten and Alaska with her husband. She shared bedtime prayers with her children, helped with endless hours of homework, modeled a good work ethic, and always encouraged them to follow their dreams and do their best in everything.

Mary Ann had a beautiful smile, and a positive, magnetic personality which would light up a room, and enjoyed countless volunteer hours at her church. She attracted many life-long friends with her trustworthiness and loyalty, and was cherished as the eternal confidant…and will be greatly missed by all who entered her circle of love. Putting her family first, she lived life to the fullest with generosity, faith, and great strength through many years of struggling with Multiple Sclerosis and eventually blindness.

A wonderful daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend and wife, Mary Ann is survived by her husband Ralph, whom she proudly explained gave her a precious “fairytale life.” She is also survived by her loving children, Lou Ann and her daughters Leanne and Lauren; Susan and her husband Gregg; Ralph and his wife Lori; brothers Tom and his wife Kim, and Joe and his wife Gladys; sister-in-law Loretta, and many adoring nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews nationwide. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brother Salvatore and his wife Marie; and her brother-in-law, Nicky.

Mary Ann truly valued her life and blessings as gifts from God. Her unique purpose on this Earth has been fulfilled with beauty, poise, gratefulness and grace, and God has called her home to eternal life.

Many heartfelt thanks and prayers are extended to the amazing and selfless professionals who had helped Mary Ann and loved her in her final days, especially during her complications from COVID-19.

Due to COVID-19, viewing at the Funeral Home will be private. A memorial mass will be held at a later date in New Jersey, and New York, respectively.
