Mary Ellen Kapeller

Mary Ellen Kapeller, adoring wife, beloved mother, doting grandmother and devoted friend, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Mary Ellen was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Alamo, Texas with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Savage. She attended high school at PSJA High and later met her husband to be Royce Kapeller. She became an Air Force wife when she married Royce in 1957. After spending time in Oklahoma, Texas, Maine, Clark AFB, PI and Louisiana, Royce retired from the Air force and they chose to live in Round Rock, Texas in 1979 when they purchased a home. She was a longtime active member of St. William’s Catholic Church, she loved to volunteer, travel, cook, garden, read and spend time with her friends and family.

Mary Ellen is survived by her three children, Phyllis Jones of Round Rock, Texas and husband, Ed Jones; Debbie Brock of Wichita, Kansas and husband, Gary Brock; grandson, Gary Dean Brock, and Steve Kapeller and wife, Elizabeth Kapeller, also of Round Rock, Texas.

Mary Ellen is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends. The family extends special appreciation to Bishop Michael Pfeifer, Sister Judy Pfeifer, Father Ted Pfeifer and Phyllis Devine for all the love, support and blessings.

The family will receive guests at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Williams Catholic Church; 620 Round Rock West Dr., Round Rock, TX; at 10:00 am, Monday, February 14, 2011. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
