Mary is survived by her sons Manuel Aguilar III, Robert Aguilar, son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Cheryl Aguilar; daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Chuck Landis; and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Bill Aguilar wife Gracie and children Hailey & Gavin; Chris Aguilar wife Heather and children Wyatt and Chloe; Aaron Vanelli; Tiffany Dockum and children Katelyn and Shane; Cole Vanelli; Nicole Kistler and husband Jordan; Kristin Harvey and husband Ryan. She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents Antonio and Sarah Montecillo and mother Carmen Serrano; grandson Robert Alan Aguilar; granddaughter Tonya Marie Dubois; Manuel Aguilar Jr; and Thomas Bradford.
Mary was born in Houston, Texas on September 23, 1930 and spent her early years in Victoria. She later returned to Houston where she attended high school and lived most of her adult life. Mary and Manuel Aguilar Jr were married in 1948 and had 4 children. As a wife and mother, she served on the school PTA and volunteered for countless activities in support of her family.
In addition to raising her children, her proudest occupation was as a Medical Assistant working in the downtown Houston Medical Center as part of a post-surgery support team to multiple surgeons including cardiac surgeons Dr. Michael DeBakey and Dr. Denton Cooley.
She married Tom Bradford in 1982 and soon after, they both retired. They enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with their grandchildren until his death in 2004.
Later in life, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and her close friend, Dennis Popp. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary Service on Friday, November 4th at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. Deacon Richard Kotrola from St. William Catholic Church will officiate. A funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2022 at St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas.
Flowers and condolences may be offered at 14501 N. Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660 or in lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mary Bradford’s name. Mary’s ashes will be interred at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio alongside her late husband, Thomas Bradford, Marine Corp.
